Alejandro Gutiérrez Mora is a photojournalist based in Tijuana, Mexico. With 14 years of experience, his work focuses on general news and daily life in what was once considered one of the most violent cities in the world. However, Alejandro has always maintained a close connection to football. He spent his adolescence on the field, and although some roles have changed, his path has always led him back to the beautiful game. Alejandro strives to move away from classic sports photography to document a more intimate side of football, its essence, and its community. His experience has led him to photograph major events such as the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup India, the 2016 Copa América Centenario, and multiple editions of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. He currently works for the agency Imago7, covering Club Tijuana's home matches in Liga MX. He is also a member of Football Case Study, where he explores a more respectful, empathetic, and humanistic perspective on the sport and the people involved, from the stadiums to the grassroots.
